Publishing schedule

PJMR aims to publish one Volume comprising four quarterly Issues in a calendar year.

Archiving, Copyright and Licensing

PJMR currently stores all its digital content including articles on OJS which is accessible to the readers. The copy of the same content is kept as a backup on two other sources. For long-term archiving and preservation, PJMR plans to archive its digital data with PMC and LOCKSS.

Authors retain the copyright to their articles; therefore, they can self-archive their published articles on their personal websites and institutional repositories. PJMR allows the authors to submit Version of Record (VoR) of their articles to any repository of their choice.

Publication ethics and related editorial policies

PJMR follows the policies and guidelines of COPE, DOAJ, OASPA, and WAME for transparency and best practice in scholarly publishing.

Research Ethics Approval

All studies involving human or animal subjects must seek prior approval from appropriate ethics committees and declare compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki.

Informed consent must be obtained from all participants or their legal guardians. Identifying information must not be disclosed unless scientifically essential.

Clinical Trial Registration

Prospective clinical trials must be registered in a publicly accessible registry, and registration details must be included in the manuscript.

Authorship and Contributor-ship

Authorship must comply with the ICMJE criteria. Contributors not meeting authorship criteria should be acknowledged with permission.

Disclosure of Financial and Non-Financial Relationships and Activities, and Conflicts of Interest

All participants in the publication process must disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence their responsibilities.

Data Sharing

PJMR encourages authors to make supporting data publicly available where possible.

Peer-Review

All submissions undergo initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer-review process in accordance with HEC guidelines.

Plagiarism

All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin. Submissions exceeding acceptable similarity thresholds will be rejected or returned for revision.

Corrections

Corrections may be requested post-acceptance and will be processed as corrigenda or errata following review.

Withdrawal and Retraction

Articles may be withdrawn before publication. Retractions may occur in cases of misconduct or unreliable findings.

Advertising

PJMR does not accept advertisements that compromise editorial integrity, ethics, or public health.

Authors may appeal editorial decisions or lodge complaints by contacting the editor at pjmr.hri@pjmr.org.pk.
